On Thursday, December 22, 2011 they took their show on the road, and we've got plenty of pictures to share with you! Find out how you too can bring this tour to YOUR school: HERE LaNiyah had the pleasure of meeting one of her favorite teen pop stars Sony Music artist 'Jacob Latimore.' LaNiyah recieved an early Christmas gift from her mom when she and her two best buds were surprised with V.I.P access (by way of Jacob's mom - Tish Taylor) to an EXCLUSIVE event that was held in Chicago, at Little Black Pearl hosted by "True Star" magazine. We've got pics from the affair AND a video of Jacob Latimore, Enjoy! LaNiyah and her parents attended the Action for children, childhood obesity symposium a few weeks ago. Speakers on the events panel talked about the ever increasing rate of childhood obesity and ways to prevent it and the health risks.
The symposium was held at Schroeder Park in Broadview, Illinois and hosted speakers from the community, the US House of Representatives, health care professionals and childcare providers. It was great to see that finally others are actually realizing that not all cases of childhood obesity comes from an unhealthy lifestyle. I think some of the major food companies need to be held accountable. They need to shed light on all the chemicals and hormones they are using in the foods they 'deem' as safe. The cancer causing agents, the hormones that are making our young children go into puberty early. Let's talk about that. It's pure greed! And it's SAD.... Childhood obesity has become a 'stigma' and our babies are being bullied and ridiculed because of it. - LaToya White (mom) Here are a few pics from the event. LaNiyah sat on the panel at a youth event on Saturday, November 19, 2011 called "Youth - Naming & Proclaiming" an event that was put together by Actress Drew Sidora (Step Up, White Chics, The Game, That's So Raven) and her sister, prominent entertainment guru Allison Jordan. This event was held at the Jordan family church "Prince of Peace Lutheran" in which their mom is the pastor Rev. Jeanette Jordan.
This event's panel host some of today's most inspiring people in the world. Doctors, Actor's, Celebrity Personal Trainers and more. But, the thing that was the most noted was that LaNiyah was the youngest person sharing the spotlight. This event was an awesome event to help inspire youth. They had a chance to ask questions, discuss today's challenges facing our youth and how to prepare for a life full of success. LaNiyah will be speaking on the youth panel for a youth celebration called
"Youth Naming & Proclaiming" with famed Actress from "The Game" Ms. Drew Sidora. LaNiyah was personally invited to come out and speak to the youth of "Prince of Peace Lutheran Church" on Saturday, November 19. On December 16, LaNiyah & FRIENDS (It's a SURPRISE) will be speaking to the youth of the Village Leadership Academy, downtown Chicago. LaNiyah has lots of things coming up and we just want to thank all of her supporters and loved ones for their continuous love and support and for sharing of her message. |
